The Oak Grove Eagles lost against the Live Oak Acorns back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The game between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Oak Grove falling 28-10. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 700th, while Live Oak is ranked 256th).
Oak Grove has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Live Oak, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Oak Grove will be playing at home against Santa Teresa at 7:15 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Live Oak, they will head out on the road to face off against Christopher at 7:15 p.m. on November 3rd. Christopher is on a four-game streak of home wins, Live Oak a seven-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
