It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Williston Red Devils can now relate to. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 48-46. Williston has not had much luck with Trenton recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Williston lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kierce Solomon, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiyah Span, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.
Williston's lineup was just a bit different on Wednesday as Solomon got a bit more time on the court (31 vs. her season average of 13.1). Solomon made the most of the opportunity, scoring 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Trenton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Koi Perry, who scored 11 points along with six assists. Another player making a difference was Kayley Sloan, who scored 14 points.
Williston's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Trenton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.
Williston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Trenton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wildwood at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Wildwood will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Trenton surely won't give up without a fight.
