The Westport Wildcats were the 60-44 winner over the Seekonk Warriors when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Westport fell 60-50 to Seekonk on Friday. Westport has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Seekonk's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lucas Pereira, who scored ten points along with four steals and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Noah Beausoleil, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Westport has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Seekonk, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
Westport will head out on the road to face off against Burlington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burlington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Westport in Massachusetts (Burlington is ranked 87th, while Westport is ranked 212th). As for Seekonk, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeastern RVT at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
