The Borden Braves were the 67-51 winner over the Springs Valley Blackhawks when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Borden fell to the Blackhawks 63-58. Borden just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Deion Edwards was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds for Springs Valley. That makes it five consecutive games in which Edwards has scored at least a third of Springs Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Konner Chase, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Borden has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Springs Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Borden will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Senators at 7:30 p.m. As for Springs Valley, they will head out on the road to take on the Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
