After flying high against Richman two weeks ago, the Environmental Eagles came back down to earth. Environmental took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hunter College on Friday. Environmental was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hunter College apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Hunter College's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Noah Kay, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jackson Cohen, who scored 25 points along with seven steals.
Environmental's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5. As for Hunter College, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-12.
Environmental will be playing in front of their home fans against Art & Design at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Art & Design is coming into the contest with six straight defeats on the road, meaning Environmental will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Hunter College, they will challenge Laguardia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hunter College focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Friday.
