The May River Sharks will challenge the Colleton County Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (May River 3.6, Colleton County 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Colleton County will be up against a hot May River team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went the Sharks' way against Beaufort two weeks ago as they made off with a 15-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Sharks, who have now won nine contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Olivia Nagel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
