Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Hillwood should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will challenge Clarksville on the road at 7:00 PM. With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win.
Hillwood simply couldn't be stopped last week, as they easily beat Hunters Lane 47-0. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.
Meanwhile, Clarksville had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 14-0 victory over Lewisburg.
Their wins bumped Clarksville to 3-0 and Hillwood to 1-2. In their win, Hillwood relied heavily on senior Hale Page, who passed for 230 yards and 3 touchdowns; a key strategy for Clarksville will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
