Ilwaco is 10-0 against Ocosta since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Ilwaco Fishermen will be home for the holidays to greet the Ocosta Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. Ilwaco will be strutting in after a victory while Ocosta will be coming in after a defeat.
Ilwaco had to kick off their season on the road last Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Raymond/South Bend 53-51.
Meanwhile, Ocosta came up short against Crescent on Friday and fell 44-33.
Ilwaco's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Ocosta, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Everything came up roses for Ilwaco against Ocosta in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 56-17 win. Will Ilwaco repeat their success, or does Ocosta have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
