On Thursday Derrius Black dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards. The performance also marked the most blocks (two) Black has had since back in January. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he's been consistent in that area too: the game was his fifth straight with eight or more. This season, he has averaged 12.3 points, 2.4 steals, and 11.1 boards on 55.6% shooting.

American and Coral Reef will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Sadly, Black's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped American's five-game streak of wins at home.
