The Eastside Eagles lost against the Wade Hampton Generals back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Eastside took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wade Hampton. Eastside has struggled against Wade Hampton recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Eastside's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ginny Anne Dumont, who scored 23 points along with two blocks. Dumont continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylan Hickman, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Eastside has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. As for Wade Hampton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Eastside won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Blue Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Blue Ridge is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Wade Hampton, they will face off against Greer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
