The Ridgemont Golden Gophers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They secured a 49-43 W over Hardin Northern. The win was some much needed relief for Ridgemont as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Kylie Shreve had an outrageously good game as she scored 18 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Anna Ramsey was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds and five blocks.
Several Polar Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Heidi Trachsel, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmah Boose, who scored 15 points.
Ridgemont's victory ended a 17-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-13. As for Hardin Northern, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Ridgemont will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against River Valley at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully River Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday.
