Nazareth Academy never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the St. Francis Spartans. Considering the Roadrunners have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Nazareth Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for St. Francis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 23-7.

Nazareth Academy and St. Francis should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Roadrunners (ranked 29th) will meet Saint Ignatius College Prep (ranked 276th) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, St. Francis will challenge Elk Grove at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (54 vs. 312).
