Baseball Recap: Hermon Gets the Win

Hermon came out on top against Caribou on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Hawks took their contest against the Vikings 10-5. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Vikings on Friday, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Cam Morrison, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI. He has become a key player for Hermon: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Max Hopkins, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Hermon lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Hermon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Caribou, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.
