After flying high against Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy  last Thursday, South Davidson came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost  3-0 to the South Stokes Sauras on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sauras this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  on September 4th.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-7,  25-9.
 Kirra Maynard paced South Davidson's offense, picking up four kills. Maynard got some help from  Rose Sommer and her four assists.
South Davidson has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record  this season. As for South Stokes, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Davidson will  take on  rival North Stokes  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, South Stokes is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Chatham Central  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
