After a string of five wins, the Southland Christian FLAMES's's good fortune finally ran out on Sunday. They had to suffer through a rough 63-36 loss at the hands of Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech.
Several FLAMES players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Juan Rios, who scored 8 points. Rios hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Rivera, who scored 9 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adiel Lopez , who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. The contest was Lopez 's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruben Esteban Oliveras , who scored 16 points.
Southland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Southland Christian will head out on the road to face off against Poinciana at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Poinciana focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Monday. As for Bilingual Christian Academy & Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
