Basketball Recap: Mccook Takes Down Alliance in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, McCook rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They took down the Alliance Bulldogs 91-77. The Bison's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Alliance lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Espen Lanik, who posted 23 points and six steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Meyring, who went 8-for-15 en route to 18 points.

McCook's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Alliance, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.

McCook wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-48 loss against Scottsbluff on the 27th. Alliance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
