The Dunseith Dragons lost against the St. John Woodchucks back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Dunseith was dealt a 82-43 defeat at the hands of St. John. Dunseith was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-19.
Kaycee Desjarlais continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. John, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Desjarlais is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alani Morin, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Dunseith bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for St. John, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Dunseith will play host again and welcome Westhope/Newburg, where tip off is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. John, they will head out on the road to take on Langdon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
