Trinity Collegiate had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 52-39 win over the South Florence Bruins. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Bruins are ranked 41st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, South Florence saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Harmony Bostick posted 17 points and six rebounds. Amari Gamble was another key player, putting up four points and 11 rebounds.

Trinity Collegiate's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for South Florence, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Trinity Collegiate will head out to square off against Hilton Head Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for South Florence, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 39-33 defeat against North Myrtle Beach on the 30th.
