Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division III recap October 1, 2013
Buhler extended the longest winning streak in Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division III this week by beating McPherson, 35-7. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Rose Hill and Winfield played the most contested game in the league this week, with Rose Hill eventually emerging with a 27-24 victory. Brett Bonar threw for 115 yards and ran for 58 yards in the win.
McPherson's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bullpups feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kyler Kinnamon has thrown for 732 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while TJ Stites has 19 catches for 296 yards. Kinnamon also leads the league in rushing with 476 yards.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Bullpups' Stites goes up against the Vikings' Aubrey Herlocker.
Next week's game between McPherson and Winfield will feature a good passing match up as Kinnamon will test his arm against Herlocker's defensive ability.
One of Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division III's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Tom Young's team and Justin Price's team face off next week.
At the moment, the Vikings are in second, while the Bullpups are in fourth.
There should be lots of points scored when Winfield and McPherson face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Vikings comes in having scored 115 this season, while the Bullpups have scored 89. Winfield scored 24 points last week as it lost to the Rockets.
Mulvane took down El Dorado 46-17 last week, the largest margin of any game.
