Elysian Fields' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nunu Kennedy led the charge by scoring 12 points along with eight assists and four steals. The contest was Kennedy's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dravian Rather, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Jefferson, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-39 loss to Hooks on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jefferson has scored all season.
Elysian Fields' win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Jefferson, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-4.
Elysian Fields suffered a grim 58-35 defeat to Jefferson in their previous meeting back in January. Can Elysian Fields avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
