Baseball Recap: Cimarron Wins Going Away Against Questa

Cimarron won the last time they faced Questa and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cimarron Rams put the hurt on the Questa Wildcats with a sharp 12-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Andrew Gonzales and Orion Ledoux were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Gonzales struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Ledoux pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Gonzales scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Ledoux scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Urijah Martinez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Taven Martinez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Cimarron was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Questa only posted a batting average of .133.

Cimarron's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Questa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Cimarron will head out on the road to take on Penasco at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Questa, they will challenge Clayton at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
