Leading Pelham to victory were Jaliyah Crump and Sariyah Chester. Crump scored 15 points along with four steals, while Chester scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Chester is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Truth Wimberly was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Crossroad Academy dropped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.3 points per game. As for Pelham, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
Crossroad Academy will be playing at home against Florida State University High School at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pelham, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Charlton County at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. Charlton County is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
