The biggest upset of the week belonged to Ramona, who took down 583rd ranked La Sierra, 32-28. Chris Kilgore in the win.
Adding to the longest winning streak in River Valley this week, Norte Vista beat Jurupa Valley 49-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
JD HERNANDEZ provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Patriot fell to Moreno Valley. He completed 10 passes for 92 yards and also ran for 151 yards. HERNANDEZ's favorite target this week was JALIN BURRELL, who caught 7 passes for 61 yards.
Justice Tyler threw for 203 yards and 2 touchdowns.
HERNANDEZ was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 151 yards on 20 carries as the Warriors topped the Jaguars. BURRELL also contributed to the rushing game with 46 yards on the ground.
6-foot-4 quarterback Damon Mayes of the Rams is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,134. He has also thrown 24 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Gonzalez. The Norte Vista star has 40 catches for 799 yards.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Ken Batdorf's team's Gonzalez goes up against Patriot's HERNANDEZ.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Eric Hammond/Chris Fowler's team takes on the Braves. The Warriors are in third place, while Norte Vista is in first place.
Ramona scaled the state rankings by moving to 566 from 597 this week, the biggest jump in River Valley. Damon Dustin's team climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Eagles 32-28.
