The Carrboro Jaguars can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 53-24 win over J.F. Webb on the road. Given Carrboro's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while J.F. Webb is ranked 552nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Carrboro's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Summer Lee, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Lee hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Julia Spang was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Carrboro has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for J.F. Webb, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carrboro will take on Louisburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Louisburg is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for J.F. Webb, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Granville Central at 6:00 p.m. Granville Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
