The Kutztown Cougars pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 72-55 fall against Antietam. Kutztown has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Antietam to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julious Williams, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Williams set a new season high mark in blocks with six. Another player making a difference was AJ Schiefly, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds.
Kutztown bumped their record down to 1-2 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Antietam, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kutztown will be home for the holidays to greet Saucon Valley at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Saucon Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Monday. Antietam will be home for the holidays to greet Palisades at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
