Baseball Recap: Coal Ridge's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak at Home

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Coal Ridge was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Palisade Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Titans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Coal Ridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Simons, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Simons has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Coal Ridge's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2-1. As for Palisade, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Coal Ridge by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.
