Warner fell to St. Joseph Academy 48-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Frankie Diaz was a bright spot for the Wildcats, as he ran for 52 yards and caught 7 passes for 30 yards in the loss.
Ocean View Christian and San Pasqual Academy played the most contested game in Sunset (8 Man) this week, with Ocean View Christian eventually emerging with a 44-38 victory.
The Dragons' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandon Alexander threw for 71 and 1 touchdown and Jasthan Gant had 71 yards receiving. On the ground Alexander chipped in 85 yards.
San Pasqual Academy's dynamic duo of Alexander and Gant proved tough for the Patriots to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Davonte Ransom made the biggest impact on defense this week as Rashiid Burgo's team fell to Ocean View Christian. He forced 1 fumble.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Calvary Christian's ANDREW LEAKEY and JORDAN EVANS have proven to be a lethal combination. LEAKEY has thrown for 665 yards this season, while EVANS has 16 catches for 274 yards. The Dragons' Alexander leads the league in rushing yards with 1,105.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Ronald Loewenthal's team takes on the Crusaders. As it stands, the Patriots are in fourth, while St. Joseph Academy is in first.
Tom Davis' team led Sunset (8 Man) in scoring this week by notching 48 points on Warner.
