Knox Central is a perfect 3-0 against Jackson County since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will welcome the Generals at 6:00 p.m. Knox Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Knox Central lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Bell County, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Panthers put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 10-1 victory on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.
Zack Carrol spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brady Engle was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Knox Central's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 3-10 when he doesn't). Hayden Melton was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Jackson County's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against South Laurel, falling 15-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Generals have suffered since April 11th.
Knox Central pushed their record up to 6-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Jackson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-7.
Everything went Knox Central's way against Jackson County in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Knox Central made off with a 14-1 victory. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Generals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
