It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Apopka had no problem doing just that on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Seminole Seminoles. The Blue Darters are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.
Skyla Durand was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Ford, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Apopka's win bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Seminole, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-15.
As of now, neither Apopka nor the Seminoles have any future games scheduled.
