After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dieterich, the Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 58-21 win over Webber. With Brownstown/St. Elmo ahead 37-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mariah Anderson, who scored 6 points. Another player making a difference was Shayla Brumley, who scored 4 points.
Brownstown/St. Elmo is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Webber, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brownstown/St. Elmo will take on Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Webber will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Christopher at 6:15 p.m. on December 11th.
