Northeastern Clinton waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Seton Catholic Central Knights with points to spare, taking the game 67-53. The Cougars pushed the score to 58-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Seton Catholic Central still got an impressive performance from Michael Mannix, who went 14-for-29 to rack up 41 points and five boards. That was a full 77.4% of Seton Catholic Central's points, marking the 13th time in a row Mannix has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Matt Debay, who earned eight points.

Northeastern Clinton's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for Seton Catholic Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

Looking ahead, Northeastern Clinton will square off against AuSable Valley at 2:00 p.m. on February 22nd. As for Seton Catholic Central, they have already played their next game, a 43-36 loss against Wells on the 15th.
