Hillside is a perfect 10-0 against Durham School of the Arts since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Hillside Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Hillside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Hillside is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs last Friday, they were much more limited against Enloe on Tuesday. They fell 7-2 to the Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Hillside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quamay Palmer, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Palmer hit this season. Another was Sterling Edwards, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Durham School of the Arts entered their tilt with Vance County on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Vipers with a sharp 17-3 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 14 runs or more this season.

Michael Matuszewski made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Matuszewski was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs.

In other batting news, Mars Hartmann was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Christopher Matuszewski was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Durham School of the Arts hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

Hillside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Durham School of the Arts, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Hillside took their win against Durham School of the Arts in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 17-3. Does Hillside have another victory up their sleeve, or will Durham School of the Arts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
