Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Provo). They were the clear victors by a 21-11 margin over the American Leadership Academy Eagles on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Provo got a massive performance out of Tava'Esina Albert, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Albert a new career-high. Lily Rock was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
Provo's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for American Leadership Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Provo will welcome Orem at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for American Leadership Academy, they will host Summit Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
