They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Lilly Vargas and
Julianna Butler, who each put up four points.
Anna Padgett held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.
Hedgesville found their leader in underclassman Gracie Brown, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Brown is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Yates, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Wakefield Country Day's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hedgesville, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
