Jenks has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Jenks Trojans and the Bixby Spartans will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Jenks is ranked 70th, while Bixby is ranked 45th).
Jenks suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. Their tough 60-37 defeat to Charles Page might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jenks has scored all season.
Even though Bixby has not done well against Broken Arrow recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Bixby came out on top against Broken Arrow by a score of 67-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jenks' defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Bixby, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Jenks came up short against Bixby in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 58-50. Can Jenks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
