The East St. John Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Holy Cross Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. East St. John will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Holy Cross is ranked sixth).
Last Friday, East St. John came up short against Destrehan and fell 23-13. East St. John has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Holy Cross got themselves on the board against Jesuit on Friday, but Jesuit never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 30-0 win over the Blue Jays at home. Considering Holy Cross has won five matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Destrehan's victory bumped their season record to 9-0 while East St. John's defeat dropped theirs to 7-2.
East St. John came up short against Holy Cross in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 17-9. Can East St. John avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
