The Columbia Falls Wildcats and the Beaverhead County Beavers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Columbia Falls Wildcats had to settle for second. Columbia Falls and Beaverhead County were almost perfectly matched up, but Columbia Falls suffered an agonizing 36-35 defeat. Columbia Falls' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Columbia Falls still got an impressive performance from Cody Schweikert, who threw for 402 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes. Mark Robison also helped out as he racked up 109 receiving yards.
It was another big night for KALE KONEN, who rushed for 213 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. KONEN's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.
Columbia Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Beaverhead County, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Columbia Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Beaverhead County also has no future games currently scheduled.
