The Bishop Moore Hornets are taking a road trip to square off against the Winter Park Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Bishop Moore got the win against International Community by a conclusive 3-0.
Bishop Moore's got stronger as the match went on, holding International Community to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 25-20.
Arianna Delgado was the offensive standout of the match as she had ten digs and two aces. Presley Ferry also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Meanwhile, Winter Park waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Kowboys. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since September 11th.
Winter Park wouldn't go down easily and took Osceola into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-10, 24-26, 22-25, 16-14.
Bishop Moore better keep an eye on Jordyn Lehman. She was instrumental in Winter Park's win, getting nine digs and one assist. That's the most digs Lehman has posted over her last seven matchups.
Winter Park was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.
The win got Bishop Moore back to even at 12-12. As for Winter Park, their record now sits at 23-1.
