Wise is 9-1 against DuVal since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Wise Pumas will head out on the road to challenge the DuVal Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Wise knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully DuVal likes a good challenge.
Last Thursday, Wise was fully in charge, breezing past Northwestern 77-42 at home. That looming 77-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Wise yet this season.
Wise's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marcus Rustin, who scored 11 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Jackson, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, DuVal scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 85-67 win over Flowers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for DuVal.
Wise is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for DuVal, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Wise strolled past DuVal in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 74-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wise since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
