Meanwhile, Shadow Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 39-17 to Lake Havasu. The Matadors were down 33-10 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the defeat, Shadow Mountain saw an underclassman step up: freshman Talia McCartney almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for McCartney.
