Buckeye has gone a perfect 5-0 against Rocky River recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bucks will take on the Pirates at 5:00 p.m. Rocky River took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Buckeye, who comes in off a win.
Buckeye is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over Valley Forge on Thursday. The Bucks haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
LaRyssa Hartshorn tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Faith Shaw was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Metter, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Buckeye hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Rocky River fell victim to Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Royals. The game marked the first time this season in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.
Reagan Kane spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
Having lost for the first time this season, Rocky River fell to 4-1. As for Buckeye, their record now sits at 3-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Buckeye has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Rocky River struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Buckeye's way against Rocky River in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Buckeye made off with a 12-0 victory. Will the Bucks repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
