The East Valley Falcons can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Vaughn 73-36 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-12.
Leading East Valley to victory were Lukas Carone and Itzak Salazar. Carone went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 5 assists, while Salazar scored 22 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Carone is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games he's played. Jasper Mejia was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
East Valley's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Vaughn, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Valley will take on Northridge Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northridge Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Vaughn, they will be playing at home against Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
