 Harper Nickel and  Kaylee Long made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Nickel   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Meanwhile,  Long   pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. At the plate,  Nickel  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI, while  Long  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  run and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  Nickel has  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  Allison Blanton was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Malia Robich, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Meanwhile, Rocky Grove earned  an  8-3 victory over Franklin  on Friday.
 West Middlesex's record is now 6-8. As for Rocky Grove, their record now sits at 5-7.
 West Middlesex was able to grind out a solid  win over Rocky Grove in their previous matchup  back in May of 2018, winning  6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Big Reds since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
