The Kenston Forest Kavaliers lost against the Brunswick Academy Vikings back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Kenston Forest fell 42-29 to Brunswick Academy. Kenston Forest has not had much luck with Brunswick Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Brunswick Academy was led to victory by Haley Reese and Emily King. Reese scored 12 points, while King scored 18 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which King has scored at least a third of Brunswick Academy's points.
Kenston Forest's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8. As for Brunswick Academy, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 17-4.
Kenston Forest will look to defend their home court on Friday against Tidewater Academy at 5:30 p.m. As for Brunswick Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Isle of Wight Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. Isle of Wight Academy is on a five-game streak of home wins, Brunswick Academy a eight-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
