Bryson Maples and Dominic Bafundo made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Maples struck out six batters over two innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. At the plate, Maples scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Bafundo scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Circle Christian, their record is now 6-14.
Circle Christian suffered a grim 19-5 defeat to Trinity Christian Academy when the teams last played back in March. Can the Centurions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
