Brandon suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were beaten by Sumner 83-23. Brandon was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-16.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Robinson's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a serious blow against Wharton, falling 70-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Robinson has scored all season.
Robinson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Dylan Russell, who scored six points along with six rebounds, and Zyon Floyd who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Behel, who scored five points.
Robinson struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Brandon bumped their record down to 0-14 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight at home. As for Robinson, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
Brandon was taken down by Robinson 89-37 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Brandon was down 52-25.
