The WestSide Renegades entered their tilt with the Independence Patriots with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. WestSide came out on top in a nail-biter against Independence on Wednesday and snuck past 44-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win WestSide has posted yet this season.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Harmony Mills, who shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 45.2% of Independence's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lacey Goodson, who scored 21 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
WestSide now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Independence, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2.
