If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for East Longmeadow. On Friday they take on Putnam Vo-Tech/Sci-Tech at Central at 8:00 PM. East Longmeadow will be hoping to build upon the 33-20 win they picked up against Putnam Vo-Tech/Sci-Tech the last time they played.
Last Friday, East Longmeadow put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They blew past Wahconah Regional 35-8. The success made it back-to-back wins for East Longmeadow.
Meanwhile, we expected Putnam Vo-Tech/Sci-Tech to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Minnechaug Regional, and they did. Putnam Vo-Tech/Sci-Tech have to be aching after a bruising 12-37 loss to Minnechaug Regional. Putnam Vo-Tech/Sci-Tech's loss continues a disappointing trend for the team, making it three losses in a row.
East Longmeadow's win lifted them to 4-1 while Putnam Vo-Tech/Sci-Tech's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. We'll see if East Longmeadow's success rolls on or if Putnam Vo-Tech/Sci-Tech are able to steal their positive momentum.
