Beallsville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dalton Fulton, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was Fulton's first of the season. Ryan Dornon was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Frontier came into Monday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against St. Marys by a score of 7-3 on Monday.
Zeke Rinard made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other pitching news, Aidan Wolfe tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Frontier is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-3 otherwise.
Back at the plate, Zerik Rinard was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He has become a key player for Frontier: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 0-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Austin Kephart, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Frontier's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Beallsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
