Baseball Recap: Sequoyah Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sequoyah proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by six) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Cameron Yellow Jackets 4-3. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Sequoyah's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cameron, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.

Coming up, Sequoyah will venture away from home to face off against Kiefer at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Sequoyah's pitchers better be ready for this one: Kiefer has averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Cameron, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stigler at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Stigler will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
